November 2021 National Teacher of the Month

November 2021 National Teacher of the Month

The Teacher of the Month award is designed to recognize an employee that exemplifies our core values, which are compassion, humility, integrity, loyalty and discipline. This month we are pleased to announce that our 2021 November National Teacher of the Month is Ms. Sue of Little Sunshine’s Playhouse and Preschool of Littleton.

In talking about how Ms. Lindsay exemplifies LSP’s core values, Program Director, Ms. Debra said, “Sue has been incredibly helpful thisSue, November National Teacher of the Month season with the Christmas decorations at the school and with helping in our Secret Santa. She assists with all the day-to-day operations at the school. We are so grateful for her!”

Here is some fun information about her and what makes her such a standout!

What age group do you teach?
Two’s

What is the name of your classroom?
Enchanted Forest

What do you love most about the age group you teach?
The energy the kiddos children have and the chance to watch them grasp so many new concepts.

What is your favorite curriculum project you’ve ever done in your classroom?
Ice fishing, which we will be doing in December during our Winter Wonderland curriculum. I freeze a giant pot of water with a cup frozen in the middle. When the cup is pulled out, I add magnetic fish for the students to pull out with a magnetic pole!

What do you enjoy most about working for LSP?
The amazing co-workers and families we have at our school.

What made you want to become an early childhood educator?
I followed in my mother’s footsteps! She worked in a preschool for many years when I was younger, and I always enjoyed going to visit her at work. I knew this was my calling and I have been doing it for over 20 years now!
