What Type of Learner is Your Child?

Each child has a different way of learning new things. Generally, a child can learn by watching, listening or doing. By identifying what type of learner your child is, both of you can work through school successfully.

Visual Learners

Visual learners best process information by observing, looking or reading. They prefer using pictures, graphs, charts and maps to organize information and communicate. Visual learners can benefit more by sitting in front of the class where they get a full perspective of what is happening.

Auditory Learners

Auditory learners process information by listening. They follow oral directions effectively. They excel in music (vocals or instruments) and have a strong verbal ability. They enjoy class discussions. Auditory learners can benefit more by sitting where they can hear well.

Tactile Learners

Tactile learners best process information by doing. They learn better through experience by using their body. They enjoy activities requiring the use of motor skills. They can learn better when they write notes and move around.
